What this size is used for
This gauge is the most widely used gauge for 18650 pack assembly. It spot welds cleanly on a mid-range resistance welder without the electrode force a thicker strip needs, which is why it is the size most builders standardise on for 2P and 3P layouts.

0.15 mm × 10 mm is a stocked size, so it ships from coil rather than being rolled to order. If your pack needs a different width, the same 99.8% material is slit to any width from 2 mm to 50 mm against your drawing — send the pitch and cell layout and it is cut to that instead.
